Here are questions I get asked a LOT! :)

If your question/answer is not listed here, please visit my forums and post your question there!

Blue Skies!

———————————————————————————————

Q: What are your measurements for….

A: The MIP, Glare and CDU bay were purchased from FDS, and those measurements I do not know. Anything else, I got the measurements from MarkusPilot.com

Q: What software do you use for… ATC/Airplane/EFB/CheckList/Instructor/FSX/Pushback/FSUIPC/ATIS/Sounds/CoPilot/Avionics/etc

A: All the software I use is listed and can be found in either the Sim Setup page or the Downloads / Builders links You can also browse through the categories and posts on my site here which discuss pretty much everything in the simulator.

Q: Who makes your MIP/CDU/Glare/Overhead/MCP/EFIS/Screens/TQ/Yoke

A: All the hardware I use is listed and can be found in either the Sim Setup page or the Downloads / Builders links You can also browse through the categories and posts on my site here which discuss pretty much everything in the simulator.

Q: Sim Avionics or Project Magenta?

A: I own both. I like both and I appreciate the developers who loved this hobby so much that they devoted their lives to aircraft logic :) I currently am using Sim Avionics but I recommend you try the Demo for both PM and SimA to decide what works best for you.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Sorry, I didn’t keep my receipts. :) If you are asking this question, then you in “research” mode. This is where you go to every site on the internet, read posts, watch videos, and start to plan what it is you want to build. Grab a piece of paper, follow the links many of us have on our sites, and start to add the costs of all the various parts. At that point, you will be in “crossroads” mode. This is where you go “Holy…!!!!” and then start to ask yourself “How much of this can I make my own?” :)

————————————————————————

Q: Do you fly on Vatsim?

A: I used to. But I ended up setting my own My737Sim Multiplayer Server and that is what I fly on now. :)

————————————————————————

Q: How many computers do you use?

A: 2 PC computers, 1 Mac and 1 iPad. All the info is on the Sim Setup page.

————————————————————————

Q: Are you rich? Did you buy all this stuff at once?

A: No and No. See my Sim History page, I’ve been in this hobby since 2002.

————————————————————————

Q: Where can I download your livery for your multiplayer server?

A: Please visit the Downloads page :)

————————————————————————

Q: Do you fly FSX or FS9?

A: FSX. All the Sim info is available on the Sim Setup page.

————————————————————————

Q: What architecture is in the system??

A: I’ve been asked this question a few times and I’m not sure what it means :) But I’d say check the Sim Setup page to find out :)

————————————————————————

Q: Why do you run this website?

A: When I started on the 737 I started My737Sim.com and I created for two reasons. One, to be able to showcase the simulator I was building. And two, to have a place to for all of you to come and read about all my sim building experiences, sites I found, links to software I use and so forth. There are a lot of good people in the world who have taken their time and money to help make our sim building easier, and I wanted to try and help out the sim community just the same.
