At the Gate

Posted by Matt On July - 15 - 2010

Another quick shot, progress has been made in the roof liners. Simple but effective. Am working on a few switches for lights now and will post pictures when all this is completed :)

AivlaSoft Electronic Flight Bag

Posted by Matt On February - 16 - 2010

Following up on my original post of the most important EFB software you could ever have in your cockpit, I have since purchased the software and created a quick video of some of the features this software does.

Heres the direct link to the software: http://www.aivlasoft.com/products/index.html

I HIGHLY recommend ever simmer have this, no matter what your sim setup is!

Take a look!

CDU Surprise!

Posted by Matt On December - 19 - 2009

I received an early Christmas gift! A CDU from my wife! (Thank you honey!!) I am going to be ordering FDS’s CDU next year, but this will do just fine until then! It installed just great into the cdu bay and works perfectly with the Project Magenta CDU software!

Short Term CDU Screen Works

Posted by Matt On September - 15 - 2009

I guess I’m the type of guy who is motivated to do something when I have things on my mind. There is a small family issue going on, and I’ve been up for hours trying to get my mind off of it. Then, I finally just decided to pull out the old GPS screen I had back in the cessna sim and turn it into a temp. CDU screen.

The beauty of course is that when I do order my first CDU, this can become a temp screen for the F/O side. And, the outer bezel fits the FDS cdu tray perfectly. No it’s not touch screen or full size but it beats having the CDU on the bottom corner of the main projected display!

CDU Bay is In!

Posted by Matt On September - 2 - 2009

Boy that CDU bay sure looks sweet, way better then a kitchen chair!

Had I known then, what I know now, I’d probably have gotten the MIP and the CDU bay together, THEN put in the screens and wiring. Wow! So, I had to move a lot of the wiring I had done, because of how the MIP sits into the CDU bay. Everything appears OK, so I’ll fire the Sim PC up soon and test the sys card / inputs / outputs to make sure its all good.

I put in some printed CDU’s and lower ecam for now. The CDU’s and the 10.4 screen are on the “still needed” page so, in due time…

The glare shield has been ordered and once that is ready in a few weeks and shipped I’ll post some updated pictures!
