Cockpit Night Lighting is In

Posted by Matt On August - 7 - 2010

Was going through some PC parts and found 3 Antec Red Light Tubes that I had bought a several years ago for a PC case mod I had done. Perfect for the sim! So I mounted them and awsome, these work great! They connect via USB so I just have them in a USB  Hub. I’ll figure out how to toggle them on and off at some point. For now I can just unplug that hub. (Note, the camera doesn’t pick up as much light as you can actually see with your eyes)

At the Gate

Another quick shot, progress has been made in the roof liners. Simple but effective. Am working on a few switches for lights now and will post pictures when all this is completed :)

Replacement Glare Wings Are In!

Posted by Matt On November - 9 - 2009

Had some issues with the LED lighting on the glare wings so Peter up and shipped me two brand spanking new ones! How is that for supporting your customers! Steve personally checked to make sure they were OK as well! Thanks!

I must say these pictures don’t do them justice, they look GREAT!!!

Windshield Part 2

Posted by Matt On October - 28 - 2009

Well ran into some problems the moment I turned on the projector. Shadows from the window frame, ugh! I tried moving the projector forward, but the image became too small to fill the large area I had before. (And still want)

Thus, as with all situations, you improvise. I had to pull the frame that was mounted to the wall off, and started to mount it to the mip/cdu bay. Then, I had to pull the whole thing back from the wall about 2 feet. This really makes it more of a tight fit but not much I can do about that.

Anyhow, after doing that and firing up FSX, I must admit, it looks pretty nice!
