This is an amazing video from the launch pad of Apollo 11. It was filmed on 16mm film, at 500 frames per second. Remember, this was in 1969!

Switch types in the 737 overhead panels
I just found a great video by Vidar , who has helped me on several questions in past, explaining which switch types go where when you build your 737 overhead panel!

Heard about this on fsbreak today. Thanks to Chris Palmer for bringing this to our attention.
Click this link to head to AVSIM to read about the UsePools=0 and HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweaks.
Please read the disclaimer and use at your own risk. But if it works, could give you some serious performance increases!

The 737 Overhead Explained
I’m about to build my overhead, parts should start arriving in the next couple of weeks. That being said, it’s always good to know what all those switches do!
I came across this site from Captain Chuck Harman, which gives you a image map of the 737 Forward and Aft overhead panel. If you click a section it enlarges. Finally, clicking on a button, switch or gauge will give you it’s purpose and/or explanation!
EZdok Camera 1.14.0 Update
New Update to EZdok!
This is a 1.14 updater.
This updater need installed full 1.13.2 or later.
Some features as “Enhanced HAT-switch mode” not included in manual and need visual explanations. See video here:
Improvements and new features:
1.It is possible now to use modification keys: CTRL, SHIFT, CTRL+SHIFT in keyboard shortcuts assignments for switching between cameras.
2.Now EZCA has fully functional support of multiple (up to 3) joysticks.
3.Now it is possible to move the camera point of view with joystick buttons.
4.Now it is possible to rotate the point of view up and down with joystick HAT-switch in the default FSX Spot View camera. At first you should remove assignments for the keyboard shortcuts A, S, shift-A, shift-S in FSX controllers setup menu, and reassign them in EZCA Define keys menu.
5.Middle mouse button emulation with joystick button or keyboard shortcut added. The emulation has two modes: Hold and Toggle. It can be set up in Define Keys menu
6.Added new mode for HAT-switch. Alongside with the conventional panoraming mode it is possible now to switch between cameras with joystick HAT-switch. For example, forward: Pilot view, left: left window, right: right window, Backward: some instrument panel. Switching between the modes is made by pressing and holding one of Joystick buttons assigned in Joystick Configuration menu.
Note, that control engine is completely new. We apologize for the enconvenience, but it will be necessary for the user to remap all the keyboard and joystick buttons assignments and set all settings in “General settings” page again. Before you do that, open Options/Joystick configuration menu and select joystick controllers you wish to use with EZCA.

FDS SYS1 Card Ordered!
Just ordered the new FDS SYS1 Card. FDS recently overhauled this card (and a couple others) and in the SYS1, it now has 128 inputs for switches and 256 outputs for LEDs. This is the perfect card for a simmers overhead! (I still vote the SYS/InterfaceIT setup as the best I/O solution for your interface needs)
