I was reaming out one of the knobs with my dremel and test fitting it onto one of the rotaries. The fit continued to be tight even after several attempts. I was afraid to really drill this particular knob at home vs the shop, so I used the dremel to take care of that. Anyhow , on my last attempt, I pushed just hard enough on the stem to break the rotary, bah. I ordered a new one already. But at least this let’s you see the guts of a rotary!

I cut mine down to 1/2 inch. (from the top of the threads) Will send up some photos soon.
First Backlit Panels + Knobs Are In
A quick shot of the pot switches and knobs in the lower captain’s section, plus a better backlit shot.

Toggles and Powder Coating
The very thin layer of powder coating can sometimes prevent your toggles from fitting. A quick filing down later and they fit great.

MIP Hardware / Sys3 / Other FDS Hardware Arrives!
Just got a box via Canada Post to the United States Postal System. I was not charged any fees, like what UPS charged me to deliver my package to me after I had already paid for shipping.
In todays shipment was:
B737 MIP Hardware including all Annunciators
FDS Sys3 Interface Card, Power Supply & USB Cable
Here’s a few picts of todays arrival:

Lots of 737 Cockpit Photos
Check out Airliners.net, there is thousands of aircraft photos there! Here is a quick link to 737-700 cockpits!

MIP Update 07/23/09
So the MIP is pretty much done. I think the hardware package and my sys3 will go out next week. (Crossing fingers!) In the meantime here are a few pictures of the assembled MIP.

With back lighting! (Sorry photo is a little blurry)

MIP has arrived!
After I calmed down from UPS extorting money from me, I got down to business!
Heres the MIP box, 6 feet tall, over 1 foot deep!

It took me over an hour to unwrap all the MIP parts!

All the panels are unwrapped! Can’t wait to start mounting them!

And of course, what would Coral Airlines be without the cutest pilot in the world helping out! Coral doing peek a boo with the MIP!
